Ringo Starr and His All-Starr Band isn’t hip. But it’s a show that’s totally worth seeing. I saw them in Atlantic City in 2001, when Howard Jones was part of the lineup and an impatient Ringo had to bully the casino audience into giving Jones the requisite sing-along “whoa”s. It was at this point I realized this was probably the most uncool thing I had ever paid to do. But then Rodger Hodgson from Supertramp launched into “Logical Song” and it became clear why I was there…to rock. This time around, the band includes Sheila E., Billy Squier, Edgar Winter, Richard Marx, The Zombies’ Rod Argent and AWB’s Hamish Stuart. Ringo Starr and His All-Starr Band perform Monday at 8:30 p.m. at Nokia Theatre, 1001 Performance Place in Grand Prairie. Tickets range from $35 to $75. Call 214-373-8000 or visit ticketmaster.com.
Mon., July 3, 8:30 p.m.
