Those kids never believe you when you try to tell them about your childhood–walking barefoot in the snow 15 miles to school, uphill both ways. Prove to them that they have it easy by sending them to the Wagons West day camp at Log Cabin Village, 2100 Log Cabin Village Lane in Fort Worth. No Internet, no TV, no video games. For three hours, they’ll live as 19th-century kids, including washing clothes with a washboard, wool carding, corn grinding and weaving. See, kiddos, your grandpa was right. Life used to be kind of rough. The program is appropriate for kindergarteners through sixth graders and takes place 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday. Admission is $15 (which covers materials and a snack) and reservations are required at least a week in advance. Call 817-392-5881 or visit logcabinvillage.org to download.
