All of this talk about leaving lighter footprints just makes us want to buy flip-flops (recycled, of course.) But artists at Studio Fling are using their talents to do something constructive for environmental education. Some pieces are constructed with eco-friendly materials, and a portion of the sales benefit Heifer International. This could inspire us to pass on the flip-flops and reduce our footprints in a more lasting, beneficial way. Vendors include Green Mountain Energy, Covert Vegan and Sublime Designs by Whitney. Fling Goes Green shows through June 21 at Studio Fling Art Gallery, 2924 Main St., Ste. 102. Admission is free. Call 817-929-7991.

June 12-21, 2008
