It’s been lampooned on SNL, mocked at every water cooler and gushed about over skinny caramel lattes at the corner coffee shop. It’s Fifty Shades of Grey, the soft-core porn that never should’ve been. Have I heard legend of women eating beans out of a can at their office desk while reading it on their lunch hour? Yes I have. And once canned beans come into the picture, it’s time for a parody. Nay, it’s time for a musical parody called Cuff Me! The Fifty Shades of Grey Unauthorized Musical Parody. The cast of four will spoof and goof the entire book while “belting out hilarious parodies of popular hit songs from Madonna’s ‘Like a Virgin’ to Carly Rae Jepsen’s ‘Call Me Maybe.’” The romp started off-Broadway and will run at the Charles W. Eisemann Center (2351 Performance Drive, Richardson) through November 3. Sunday’s matinee performance is at 2 p.m. Tickets start at $45 and are on sale now at eisemanncenter.com.
