I love those well-intentioned parents who try to keep the education going during their kids’ summer break. Efforts to get them all cultured up with trips to the museum, symphony and theater add up to a proud gleam in mom and dad’s eyes while clandestine yawns are borne from their offspring. The Latino Cultural Center comes to the rescue with Target Saturdays, combining all that stuff into one free event. Score! With art workshops, live music and shows, dancing, movies and more, parents can get it done fast and enjoy the rest of the summer guilt-free. And the kids won’t love them any less. From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the LCC, 2600 Live Oak St. Call 214-670-3320 or visit dallasculture.org/latinocc.

Sat., June 30, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
