I long for the day when someone with an Austin mentality decides to bring a movie roadshow to Big D a la the Alamo Drafthouse. A big, roving movie screen set up in the park for all to watch under the starry night? Count me in. I’d do it, but I’m too busy and cheap. Instead we’re reduced to movie nights in clubs (which I’m not opposed to since I would totally kick ass hosting one—hint, hint). Gachet Coffee Lounge gets close with the Get Reel Mondays series, screening classics—both vintage and contemporary—on the rooftop. Kick back with a latté (or better yet, their sangria) and get Bogey and Bacall-ed with the 1946 noir staple The Big Sleep Monday at sundown.
