Imagination is given to you at a tender age. Young and innocent, you use imagination to pretend you’re climbing Mount Everest or swimming the Nile. Your bedroom becomes filled with long lost treasures: rubies, diamonds and emeralds. You’re now a high priestess. You just robbed a bank with Bonnie and Clyde. The Dallas Children’s Theater proves to kiddos early on that pretend doesn’t have to end. It can prove entertaining to others and provide outstanding pest control all in one affordably priced production. It’s time to take a step back from the real world and enjoy Linda Daugherty’s adaptation of Steven Kellogg’s The Pied Piper’s Magic. Join Peterkin and his magical pipe on their mission to save the town from an infestation of rats while giving the acting bug to the little ones. The show takes place Fridays through Sundays, through July 17 at Dallas Children’s Theater, 5938 Skillman St. Tickets are $14 to $25. For show times, call 214-740-0051 or visit dct.org.
Fridays-Sundays; Sun., July 17. Starts: June 17. Continues through July 17, 2011
