If the world does end soon, we can leave as happy campers. We came, saw and conquered. Well, we conquered Dallas at least, and we have the proof that we’ve experienced the best this city has to offer in our Best of Dallas 2011 issue, which hit newsstands today and will be available forever, or at least until the end does come, online. And judging by the readers’ picks, you guys have also found the best of what Dallas had to offer this year.
So who scored big in the arts and entertainment department? The Texas Theatre was named best movie theater, the Nasher took top museum and Dallas Theater Center received the prize for best local theater from the readers and us.
As for noteworthy picks in the shopping and services category, you, the smart readers and scorers of deals in Dallas, agreed with us that Dolly Python is the best purveyor of vintage goods. Centre won the award for best way to stay hip, which will come in handy when you vie for dominance in a post-apocalyptic Dallas, and we picked The Labyrinth as the best place to get tarot cards. They’ll come in handy in these final days.
Make sure to grab your copy of this year’s Best of Dallas issue. You won’t be disappointed, especially when you see the hot models inside.
