They may lack the hot females and new-agey synth of those Celtic Women, or the leggy high-stepping of Riverdance, but to that we say “thank you, God.” No one’s ever going to give Paddy Moloney and the rest of The Chieftains a beauty prize, but they did manage to collect a handful of Grammy awards and a worldwide following of fans as they introduced the world to traditional Irish music over the past 40 years. Hear the real deal for yourself at Fort Worth’s Bass Performance Hall, 330 E. 4th St., as the lads play at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Tickets are $27.50 to $87.50 and available at basshall.com or by calling 817-212-4300.
