$10,000

Welcome! We hope you snooped during our inaugural MOBC meeting two weeks ago and have decided to return, either to snoop again or, better yet, to join in the action.

The reading assignment for this round was sections three through six of Erik Larson’s In the Garden of Beasts.

As we did last time, we’ll carry on below, in the comments. Please feel free to jump in with replies, questions, opinions, historical observations, etc. If you’re a reader, we’re glad to have you here.

We’ll discuss the selection (and more, as evidenced previously) for 30 minutes to an hour (just depends on the discussion) so as not to disturb your entire afternoon, but don’t hesitate to pop in late, leave early if need be, or offer comments well after that loose time limit. Thanks, in advance, for your participation!

Oh, also, please take a moment to join, or “like” as the lingo goes, the Mixmaster Online Book Club on Facebook. You don’t have to read every book with us, but you’ll be kept informed on upcoming selection polls, and book-related stuffs.
