You may have noticed over in our slide show section–we ate a lot of delicious, delicious things this weekend. The event was Diwali Mela, the Hindu festival of lights, at the Cotton Bowl. Oh, [squee!] and there was an elephant for the riding.
So, we ate Kulfi and spicy chickpea things, and wandered through an incredible night of clown-watching, music, Tom Leppert speaking, samosa-devouring, Bollywood watching, and very, very excellent dancing. Meanwhile, roving photographer Samantha Guzman was out-and-about capturing the peoples of Diwali. Below, find our favorite pics from the weekend.
