Ever have delusions of grandeur about cycling with Lance Armstrong, the sweet Alps air blowing your hair back as you leave the rest of the pack in the dust? You’ll have your chance on Friday. Though in this case Fort Worth is the closest you’ll get to Europe, and Lance won’t be around. You will be able to ride shoulder-to-shoulder with two cycling legends: Discovery Channel Pro Cycling Team’s George Hincapie and Tour de France commentator Bob Roll. The 30-mile ride marks the third annual Cycle for Science, which raises money for the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History. The ride is limited to 45 participants. Two levels of sponsorship are available—$2,000 and $500—both of which include one spot in the ride and an autographed photo of George Hincapie. Proceeds go toward educational programs at the museum. For registration information visit fortworthmuseum.org.
