When you’re sick, it’s hard to get your act together enough to look good–the classic look is old pajamas and matted bed head. But sometimes, with a little help from friends, even a serious illness, like cancer, can’t stop you from shining. The Children’s Cancer Fund hosts the Beyond the Rainbow luncheon and fashion show, featuring 43 young cancer patients and young cancer survivors in the latest looks, Friday at the Anatole Hotel, 2201 Stemmons Freeway. Tickets for the luncheon are $150 each. Champagne reception and silent auction begins at 10 a.m. Friday, with the luncheon to follow at 11:30 a.m. Call 974-664-1450 or visit childrenscancerfund.net.
