Have you ever listened to This American Life and wondered how they decided which interview with the feuding restaurant owners should go first? Or how they strung together the audio clips about a bulletproof chicken? Have you ever wanted to know how the show takes the interviews, sound clips and recordings and stitches them together so you’re hooked, unable to change the station for a solid hour? On Saturday, Ira Glass, host of This American Life and one of the best-known voices in public radio, will recreate the sounds of the show at the AT&T Performing Arts Center (2403 Flora St.). At An Evening with Ira Glass: Reinventing Radio, Glass will mix recorded quotes and music onstage to demonstrate how the multiple Peabody Award-winning show does its magic. The show starts at 8 p.m., and tickets range from $25 to $50. Visit attpac.org.
