Dick Clark may have passed on to that great Times Square in the sky, but he lives forever in the American collective — well, okay, in our grandparents’ cultural landscape — as the straight Ryan Seacrest. A storied career including four Emmy Awards, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and inductions into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Hall of Fame, Clark disseminated hip gyrations and raucous tunes across the nation each week as host of American Bandstand for the majority of the pop cultural phenomenon’s 30 year-run. Back for their monthly romp, Viva Dallas Burlesque honors the legendary star with “Tribute to Dick Clark,” featuring American Bandstand Top 10 hits and the ladies you know and adore. Doors open at 8 p.m. and show starts at 9 Friday at the Lakewood Theater, 1825 Abrams Parkway. General admission is $20, and can be purchased in advance at lakewoodtheater.com.
