Supposedly everything’s bigger in Texas; I haven’t seen a lot of evidence to support that claim, especially since my bank account does nothing but shrink and the miniskirts and tank tops on the smaller-than-life Texas girls at NorthPark Center get tinier all time. But one reliable constant remains: monster trucks. The Major League of Monster Trucks (would Texas host the minors? No way!) rolls into town this Friday and Saturday, and based on the names of the four-wheeled destroyers in the show, we can safely say these vehicles will be of formidable size: Brutus, T. Maxx (no relation to T.J.) and King Krunch are just a few of the trucks who’ll be crushing who-knows-what. The show’s at 8 p.m. both nights at the Texas Motor Speedway, located at the intersection of Highway 114 and Interstate 35W in Fort Worth. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for kids 12 and under. Fri., Aug. 24, 8 p.m.; Sat., Aug. 25, 8 p.m.
