Runners consistently love the Dallas’ YMCA Turkey Trot, if only because it makes them feel better about the piles of food they’re about to consume. If you’re in a particuarly fitness-oriented mood around the holidays, register for your bib and bring the kids and dogs (both are welcome) for an 8 mile run around the city, or a shorter 5K fun run. If you’re too lazy to run, you can volunteer for the event, which benefits over 80 of the YMCA’s programs for kids and disadvantaged people across the city.
