Reader support matters more than ever
We're in the final stretch of our summer campaign. Our goal is to raise $12,500 by August 9 to support the journalism our community relies on. Reader support is helping shape the future of local news.
It’s really tough to say anything negative about Matt Damon. Like a docked seaman, Ben Affleck has ripped through any willing movie since Good Will Hunting debuted, while Damon chose scripts that had promise. That doesn’t mean, however, that Damon is the second coming of Peter O’Toole. No, Damon is best as the brooding, almost mute, Jason Bourne. That way, his middling acting doesn’t eclipse his likability. Fortunately, you can see both Damon and the Bourne series at its best this Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. when The Get Reel Summer Movie Series at Victory Park rolls out The Bourne Ultimatum. The film will be shown at the AT&T Plaza, and admission is free. Visit victoryparktheatre.com.
