The Women’s Museum in Fair Park is reversing those summer doldrums thanks to Roberta Harris’ Up. The Houston artist will be showcasing her vibrant and stimulating artwork inspired by the concepts of hope, joy and peace. If the themes sound a little abstract, wait until you see her work: Jackson Pollock-esque murals whose colors seem to have passed through an LGBT pride parade. Her quirky, creative pieces will be showcased Sunday through September 6. Call 214-915-0876 or e-mail rsvp@thewomensmuseum.org if interested). To see Harris artwork online, visit robertaharris.com. For exhibit info, visit thewomensmuseum.org.
Tuesdays-Sundays. Starts: July 12. Continues through Sept. 6, 2009
