Last year, Maximiliano Alessandro Vatovac and his mother, L. Hart Rueter, collaborated for a benefit show to raise money to cover Max’s tuition at the Florence Academy of Art in Italy. The exhibition was a success, and work-study opportunities and scholarships are covering costs for Max’s second and third years of study. Which means he no longer has any use for the suckers who helped fund his education, right? Wrong! Thanks to another joint showing, you can see his art has progressed thanks to his studies, and check out his mom’s art while you’re at it. The MudderSun Second Annual Art Show is currently on display 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays through September 30 at Artists’ Showplace gallery, 15615 Coit Road, Suite 230. Call 972-233-1223 or visit artistsshowplace.com for more information.

Tuesdays-Saturdays. Starts: Sept. 10. Continues through Sept. 30, 2010
