Got a raging case of rock ‘n’ roll blue balls? This weekend’s 35 Denton music/art/booze spectacular is going to rub down your temporal lobes with sensual oils until you experience sweet release. Running for the next four days on 13 glorious stages, this festival has lassoed in some of the country’s best talent, and your four-day wristband only costs $65 bucks. (Yeah, suck it, SXSW!) Sure, you’re going to want to see Jesus and Mary Chain, Thee Oh Sees and everyone else peeling into town to shake their music wands over our favorite sleepy art city (see the music section for full write-ups), but don’t miss tomorrow’s Art Of Rock day panel. Let your hangover spill out of your ear canal while local artist, gallery owner and excavator of rare secret society oddities, Bruce Lee Webb acts as both presenter and moderator with silk screen wizard Nevada Hill, and musical guests Steve Altuna and Tony Ferraro.
