The great thing about comedy writers is … they’re really good at writing comedy. B.J. Novak is one of the dudes. You know him from The Office, but he is oh so much more. His latest project is a book of short stories called One More Thing: Stories and Other Stories, and he’s coming to Dallas to read them to you. Just you. And maybe the rest of the audience at the Dallas Museum of Art, but mostly it’s you. Fingers crossed he holds your stare! His stories are entertaining, but then they would be — he’s been entertaining humans for years. At Harvard he was a member of the Harvard Lampoon and the Hasty Pudding Club. Prestigious? Indubitably. In fact, the only smudge on his otherwise pristine career is being Ashton Kutcher’s lead accomplice on Punk’d. Hey, we all make mistakes. B.J. Novak: Crafting Comedy is 7 p.m. Tuesday in the DMA’s Horchow Auditorium, 1717 Harwood St. Tickets are $35.
Tue., March 11, 7 p.m., 2014
