It is, once again, my favorite time of the year–Chinese New Year. Now that you’ve probably had your fill of yummies and filled your pockets with little red envelopes (cha-ching!), it’s time to bring the celebration to a close, and you can do so with style at The Crow Collection After Dark: Chinese New Year Celebration this weekend. Usher in the year of the tiger with an evening of fun events for the whole family, including craft making, face painting, a kung fu showcase, a Luminous Lion and Dragon Dance, Chinese fortune telling and complimentary Tiger Beer. The celebration kicks off with a performance by the Four Seasons Choral Society and Chinese Orchestra at 6 p.m. with festivities running until midnight at The Crow Collection of Asian Art, 2010 Flora St. The event is free to the public.
