You’ve seen London. You’ve seen France. But you haven’t really seen anything until you’ve experienced a century-old German farce performed on the Southern Methodist University campus. Enter: The Underpants. Originally written by Carl Sternheim in 1910, the play has been adapted by actor/comedian Steve Martin (currently starring in the equally farcical Pink Panther). The story begins when a young lady accidentally “drops trou” in public. What follows is a series of slapstick encounters with her suspicious husband, a nosy neighbor and a group of salivating men clamoring for her affection. Plus there should be tons of jokes about boobs and wieners and stuff. See The Underpants at the Greer Garson Theatre in the Owen Arts Center, 6101 Bishop Blvd. on the SMU campus. Performances start at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday with a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday. Tickets are $6 to $12. Call 214-768-2787.
Thursdays-Saturdays, 8 p.m.; Sundays, 2 p.m. Starts: Feb. 23. Continues through March 5
