Nothing like a good yeast to sugar ratio brought on by a few glasses of “Big Red” to coax out your inner imagination and break down the barrier between artist and non-artist. Join Creative Musings: Provocative Prints, an informal program designed for adult artists of all experience levels presented by SMU’s Meadows Museum. Guest artist Ian O’Brien leads the program, which combines conversation in the gallery with a hands-on, printmaking activity. Take part in an exploration of Francisco de Goya’s etchings while considering the artist’s perspectives on Spanish life as social commentary. You’ll learn about different printmaking processes and even create your own relief print. The class is $15 a person, free for museum members, and includes wine and light appetizers to spark some inspiration and get those creative juices flowing. Pre-registration is required and space is limited. For more information and to register, call 214-768-2765.
