Native American food must suck. Even though India is an ocean away from America, menus and grocery stores are far more likely to carry Indian food than the cuisine of the people formerly and incorrectly called “Indians.” Or maybe it’s that the sight of a diner offering Native American food would be so white-guilt-inducing that it couldn’t possibly succeed outside the reservation. Either way, don’t go to the “Indian-Inspired Dinner” class expecting to learn how to prepare pemmican or succotash. Rather, the Cooking School staff will walk students through preparation of chicken tikka masala, cauliflower fritters, buttered greens with paneer, shrimp vindaloo, cucumber raita and more 6:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Central Market Dallas, 5750 E.
