If you have stepped foot in a bar, turned on the television or used the Internet in the last three weeks, you know that the 2014 FIFA World Cup is taking place. Yep, it’s that one time every four years where Americans obsess over one of their top 100 pastimes. (I believe it’s somewhere before cow-tipping and after taking far too long mixing and matching flavors to concoct a one-of-a-kind Slurpee.) Now, it’s becoming harder and harder to find a seat somewhere to watch the games. However, at 2 p.m. Sunday, Main Street Garden (1902 Main St.) is hosting a free viewing of the championship game on a 9-by-12-foot mobile LED screen. Food, beer and wine will be available for purchase from City Park Café. Even though you won’t be cheering on the home team, you can still join the cacophony of futbol fans. More information is available at downtowndallas.org.
