Break from convention and join the Texas Discovery Garden at Fair Park for a stimulating talk on insect behavior and reproduction with entomologist John Watts. Feed your sweetheart chocolate-covered bugs (no need to buy that heart-shaped truffle assortment box now), wine and champagne. Learn about the dance scorpions perform when mating (spoiler alert: a desired female tests the male’s strength). The exoskeleton crunching happens from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, and Texas Discovery Garden at Fair Park is located at 3601 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Tickets cost $25 individually or $40 per couple.
