Your Instagram account is chock-full of perfectly framed eye-candy, prompting mass “like”-age and plenty of comments about your obvious talent. Maybe it’s time to take your photography to the next level? If you’ve been thinking about stepping it up, Makerspace, 2995 Lady Bird Lane, is right up your alley. Venture in for their Foto Friday event at 7:30 p.m. Friday. The every-other-Friday workshop focuses on various aspects of the craft, usually in a discussion format, and then gives you a chance to try out a new skill in the company of other artists. It’s the collaborative spirit of Makerspace that will speed you to comfort and confidence in your photographic endeavors — and if you’d rather go it alone, the dark room will be open all evening for a little one-on-one time with your prints. There’s no charge for the event; visit dallasmakerspace.org for more information.
Every other Friday, 7:30 p.m. Starts: Jan. 3. Continues through Feb. 1, 2014
