From boozy drag brunches to flashy parades and kid-friendly concerts, there are plenty of loud and proud ways to spend the month of June in Dallas-Fort Worth this year.
Below are just some of the Pride celebrations we’re looking forward to this month — to make things a little easier on you, we've mostly picked events that don't overlap. Happy Pride!
PRIDENTON
June 3 – 28Multiple locations, Denton
You can stay booked and busy this Pride without ever even leaving Denton, thanks to PRIDENTON’s thorough itinerary. From a rally at City Hall to the Big Gay Swim Day to an end-of-month dance party at Rubber Gloves Rehearsal Studio, Denton is the place to be for both fun and community solidarity. More information can be found on PRIDENTON’s website.
Juneteenth Unity Weekend
June 19 - 22Multiple Locations, Dallas
Juneteenth falls during Pride Month, and Dallas Southern Pride is celebrating the intersectionality with a packed, four-day lineup of events. From pool parties to mixers and discussion panels, the lineup aims to create spaces for Black members of the LGBTQ+ community to celebrate Dallas Black Pride. Plus, if you schedule an appointment to get tested by June 21, you can get a free ticket to one of the weekend's events. Full details are available on Dallas Southern Pride's website.
FC Dallas "Y'all Means All" Pride Night
June 25, 7:30 p.m.9200 World Cup Way, Frisco
If you're looking to get a little rowdy with your Pride this month, there's no place quite like an FC Dallas game. Our hometown Major League Soccer team is celebrating with another year of its "Y'all Means All" themed Pride Night. By the time this match rolls around, we know your wallet will probably be exhausted from the nonstop fun this month. The good news is that concessions will offer $3 beers and $1 hot dogs for the night. Tickets can be found here.
Disney Pride in Concert
June 26 – 272301 Flora St.
Here’s one for the youth, or just the young at heart. Turtle Creek Chorale is performing a selection of iconic Disney songs themed around love, family ties and LGBTQ pride. Several Disney classics, including the work of legendary gay lyricist Howard Ashman (The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast) will be performed alongside a 30-piece orchestra, scenes from the films and personal stories from members of the Chorale. Tickets are available on Turtle Creek Chorale’s website.
Sweet Taste of Pride
June 28, 6 -9 p.m.4001 Main St., Rowlett
Downtown Rowlett is closing out the month with a huge, family-friendly event. The best part? It's free to attend. The celebration will feature free face painting, prizes and giveaways, a live DJ and so much more. To quite literally sweeten the deal, local barbecue joint Sammy Lou's will be offering free cobbler until it runs out. And wrapping a bow on Pride Month wouldn't be complete without a drag show — local favorites Blue Valentine and Dulce Struts will be turning things out. No RSVP is required, but you can check out the full details via Eventbrite.
