When Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter John Camp isn’t gaining prestige in the realm of journalism for feature stories on Native American culture, the struggles of Midwest farm families or war zones in Iraq, he fuses together elements of suspense in fictitious worlds under the name John Sandford. That’s what he’s been doing the better part of the last 22 years, anyway. He is the scribe of two bestselling series, Kid and Prey, and is preparing for the release of his latest novel, Shock Wave. The thriller features recurring character Virgil Flowers and his hunt for a bomber in a Minnesota river town. At 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sanford signs and reads from his latest book at the Barnes and Noble at 7700 W. Northwest Highway.
