As the weather finally cools down as much as Texas will allow, there's one place in Dallas that's just starting to heat up.

Crush, the newest LGBTQIA+bar in Dallas, has gone all out with a holiday-themed pop-up bar, Hot Frosty. It includes a complete Christmas makeover and new naughty cocktails served up by a half-naked nutcracker or Sexy Santa.

The theme is an homage to this year's most unhinged movie. Hot Frosty stars Lacey Chabert as a widow who brings a sexy snowman (played by Ted from Schitt's Creek) back to life. The movie is trending on Netflix; the memes are trending on TikTok.

Admission to the Oak Lawn bar's event is free, so the only thing left to figure out is whose sleigh you’re taking home.

This isn’t anything like that Willy Wonka shitshow in Scotland earlier this year; the attention to detail that went into the transformation of the bar is evident. From floor to ceiling, the halls have been decked out with white wreaths, snowflakes and maybe a stray mistletoe or two. The club’s neon lights go splendidly with the sparkly white streamers and holiday lights hung up everywhere for the perfect blend of festive and flashy.

The bar's naughty holiday drink list puts a jolly twist on getting turnt. Try a taste of Frosty’s Candy Cane for something cool and minty or the Sugar Cookie to remind you of grandma while you watch someone unwrap themselves on stage like the gift you’ve always wanted.

The pop-up has had a warm reception so far. On Instagram, people are either looking forward to a cup of Christmas Punch or have already checked the place out and are urging others to do likewise. Many comments commended Crush’s dedication to the vibe: “LOVE the holiday decor! Not enough places do this in Dallas, takes me to NYC at Christmas time!” or, more simply, “No crumbs left #ATE.”

One person said, “WORTH THE HYPE!” and others shouted out a specific server or drink: “I went last night.... go order drinks from giving. We love her,” and “The Christmas Punch is worth the trip from San Antonio!”

Crush had its grand opening on July 27 and has gone balls-to-the-wall with weekly events ever since. Anyone with a passion for riding should show up for the mechanical willy race on Hoe Down on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. For something a little less physical, check out RuPaul’s Drag Race Global All Stars Fridays for trivia and lip-sync battles, or sit back and enjoy the Doll Haus Drag Show at 9 p.m. every Saturday. There’s something different going on every night, so check the website or follow @crushdtx on Instagram for more info.

This month, there’s going to be an Ugly Xmas Sweater Contest and Ho Ho Ho Drag Show on Dec. 6. Then, Vanessa Vanjie from RuPaul’s Drag Race will swing by on Friday the 13th for a meet and greet with fans and to grace the mainstage afterward. Crush is gonna have to tear down the tinsel and throw out the trees eventually, so go say “Hi” to Sexy Santa before the elves realize he’s gone.
