When you grow weary of tear-jerking, leg-lamp-shattering, Clark Griswold-flustering, keep-the-change-you-filthy-animal Christmas films, head to the Dallas Comedy House to see those smartasses mock it all in ImprovisedChristmasMovie. (They saved the cleverness for the stage.) No one’s getting wings in this production either, but there is a SantaGremlin, so suck on those chestnuts. Or don’t because it’s the holiday season and good tidings to all, yadda yadda. The show features your favorite holiday film stereotypes including the grouch, the family whose true gift is togetherness, selfless givers and a whole lot more. Plus it’ll put you in the holiday spirit faster than spiked eggnog, a Santa suit, pets in antlers and portable mistletoe. And it sounds a lot less complicated too. Get tickets, $11.50, for the Thursday show at dchtheater.com. ICM plays every Thursday in December from 8 to 9 p.m. at Dallas Comedy House, which is located at 2645 Commerce St
Thursdays, Fridays. Starts: Dec. 12. Continues through Dec. 26, 2013
