Is your vinyl collection more Munny than Mudhoney, more Kid Robot than Kid A? Do you relish the thought of tearing through generic boxes (and your checking account) in hopes of a one-in-a-million variant? Then this, vinyl toy aficionado, is your holy grail: the Vinyl Thoughts Art Show from 7 to 11 p.m. Thursday at The Quixotic World, 2824 Main St. The most custom of custom vinyl toys will be created by artists under the “Free 4 All” theme — toymakers can do whatever they darn well please, giving you access to one-of-a-kind pieces for your collection. Curators Shelby Miller and Cody Phillips have handpicked a stellar band of artists to customize all those coveted vinyl figures, including graffiti buff Marianne Romanidis, spooky Allan Armenta, whimsical monster-maker Valerie G and flash-art influenced Scott Kinnebrew. All pieces will be on display and on sale for one night only, no tickets or admission fee required. Visit vinylthoughtsartshow.com.
