How exciting could a play about marathon runners be? That was my first thought after hearing that the stage production of Nipples to the Wind was heading this way. A play about chafing areolas just wasn’t ringing my bell. Come to find out, comedian Paula Coco’s play is about 14 characters in various states of hysteria played to full comic effect by a whopping cast of two. Coco and Dallas actor Jayne Anderson portray everything from Little League moms gone wild to questionable suicide hotline operators (with several references to Valium and Xanax, of course). By the looks of it, I’d say think Greater Tuna but with chicks, which somehow sounds oh-so-wrong and perfectly right. Nipples to the Wind comes to Dallas Hub Theater, 2809 Canton St., running through February 24. For tickets and more information, call 214-749-7010 or visit nipplestothewind.com.
Fridays, Saturdays, 8:15 p.m.; Saturdays, Sundays, 2:30 p.m.; Thursdays, 7:30 p.m. Starts: Jan. 11. Continues through Feb. 24, 2008
