Bethany Weston is an independent scholar and adjunct instructor in North Texas. She is also a digitizing volunteer at the Grayson County Village & Museum, working to preserve historical documents and photographs. She holds a Master’s degree in Library Science from Texas Woman’s University and has completed additional coursework in English studies at the University of North Texas. Her research and writing interests include local history, education, critical race theory, and the ways that communities grapple with past events, current challenges, and future hopes. She is currently working on a book about the 1930 Sherman Riot and its aftermath.
