James Naples is Copy Editor of the Dallas Observer. In his role, he’s responsible for copy editing all reporting including news, food and drink, arts and culture and music. He joined the Observer in 2022, but before that, he contributed to publications like Morrisville News & Citizen, Lockhart Post-Register, Youngstown Vindicator, Austin American-Statesman and San Antonio Light. During his career, James has been honored with awards from state and regional press associations for news writing, editorials and commentary.
