Leading up to September’s Best of Dallas® 2016 issue, we’re sharing (in no particular order) our 100 Favorite Dishes, the Dallas entrées, appetizers and desserts that really stuck with us this year.

The souffles at Rise are such perfection, they made our 100 Favorites list twice this year. We’ve already introduced you one of our best-loved savory souffles — now meet our other fave, the pumpkin souffle. Airy and delicate, it’s like a more subtle, sophisticated version of pumpkin pie. Its fragrant aroma of cloves and spices is so irresistible, you’ll fall in love before you even swoop in with your spoon.

If you prefer your sweets on the not-too-sweet side, eat it as-is, subtly sweetened with a light dusting of confectioner’s sugar. Drench it in creme anglaise and whipped cream (served on the side) for a more decadent experience. Don’t hesitate to request it if you don’t see this fall favorite on the menu; there’s a good chance they’ll be able to wave a magic wand for you. There’s an even better chance this souffle will float you right off your feet.
