I’m likely done with the Londoner till the Premier League kicks off again, but when it does I’m headed right back for another plate of these fish and chips.
The Londoner’s version sports a thick, crispy crust that’s not too oily, which encases dense cod that breaks apart into massive, meaty flakes. Chips play more than a supporting role with a generous portion of potatoes cooked just right.
The results are a plate that eats heartily while leaving you feeling (mostly) guilt-free. Come to think about it, who needs soccer on the TV as a backdrop to fish and chips. The evenings are still cool, and the Londoner boasts an awesome front porch-turned-patio. Seems like a good place to watch the Rangers, actually. OK, shit, I’ll see you there tomorrow night.
