Leading up to September’s Best of Dallas® 2016 issue, we’re sharing (in no particular order) our 100 Favorite Dishes, the Dallas entrées, appetizers and desserts that really stuck with us this year.

If the ingredients are good, the simplest breakfast can be memorable. Nowhere is that more true than at Local Press + Brew, which sources excellent ingredients for their simple but craveable toasts.

“Toast 1” is the perfect blend of sweet, salty, creamy and tangy. Full Quiver Farms cream cheese is spread over a thick slice of Wheat & Sour bakery’s rye bread, with little more than a sprinkle of Himalayan salt and cracked black pepper. The cream cheese from Full Quiver Farms, a dairy farm in Kemp, is so rich and flavorful, it’ll make you rethink that mass-produced cream cheese that’s been gathering dust in the back of your fridge.
