When we think of cheap seafood, we liken it to getting sushi at a gas station. A gamble for sure. There are plenty of great seafood options in Dallas, but often with a high price tag.
But a new restaurant concept, Angie’s, opening in Plano, wants to change how we view the accessibility of seafood and high-quality ingredients.
Angie’s is a collection of four “disruptive” restaurant concepts that want to make luxury foods available to everyone by redefining what’s possible in the fast food space. There’s Angie’s Lobster, Angie’s Prime Grill, Angie’s Burger and Angie’s Chicken; all united by a streamlined and integrated business model, founders Tony and Roushan Christofellis say.
We can’t lie, a $9.99 lobster roll sounds like a disaster at first, until we read about Angie’s business model that makes prices like that accessible.
The founders built their business from the ground up and took advantage of being in control of their entire supply chain.
“Our culture is about reducing non-mission critical costs to invest in what matters most: our food and our people,” said co-founder Tony Christofellis.
Angie’s company owns “a wharf on Bailey Island, Maine, a 63,000 square-foot processing facility in Richmond, Maine, a distribution center with beverage and sauce processing facility in Phoenix, Arizona, an antibiotic-free chicken processing facility in Chandler, Arizona and its own trucking fleet,” per the release.
Every middleman is eliminated so they can focus on food quality. Ordering is done through a self-service kiosk. Self-service drink stations are inside. Because the in-house processes are so streamlined, they require fewer employees during working hours. Their workers are allegedly paid the highest wages in the drive-thru industry for their market.

Two New Concepts
Angie’s Lobster was the first concept to launch in 2022, in honor of Tony Christofellis’ late mother, Angela (Angie). The next to launch was Angie’s Prime Grill in 2023. Now, with a combined 20 locations in Arizona and Las Vegas, they’re excited to bring two Angie’s concepts (Angie’s Lobster and Angie’s Prime Grill) to Plano on Thursday, Nov. 13, at 701 W. 15th St., which is right across Central Expressway from Historic Downtown Plano.
Both concepts will be open daily from 10:30 a.m. – 10 p.m., until the launch of breakfast, with a self-service drive-thru and indoor seating. Payments are through debit/credit or phone tap only. No cash.
The Angie’s Lobster menu will have chilled and warm Maine lobster rolls for $9.99 as a highlight, as well as lobster cakes, wild-caught Mexican colossal shrimp, North Atlantic snow crab and fried North Atlantic cod.
Angie’s Prime Grill will serve warm rice bowls, grilled burritos and fresh-cut salads with your choice of USDA prime top sirloin steak, antibiotic-free chicken and wild-caught Mexican colossal shrimp. All 10 fresh-cut salads made with organic romaine will be $4.99 with your choice of chicken or seared-to-order falafel.
When Tony’s mother passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2020, he wanted to honor her and her life’s work in seafood restaurants.
“Angie’s was created to honor our mother and carry forward the love she gave us every day,” Tony Christofellis says. “This company will live every day like she lived her life — with love, courage, compassion, servant leadership, energy, fight, and fun.”
