Subs, Mexican, burgers, Slurpees — the strip mall at Northwest Highway and Hillcrest has most of the major food groups covered. It will get that elusive fifth major food group, cheap pizza, in a couple of months.
Mimi Ahmedi’s family owns the Joe’s Pizza and Pasta chain. He’s branching out, he says, with an 1800-square foot pizzeria serving “New York-style” pies at 6807 Northwest Highway.
Will it, like its neighbor Mooyah, entice me into one of my trademark Terrible But Justified Food Decisions? Only time will tell.
