The Southwest Foodservice Expo featured plenty of food-related contests, like the barista competition that led to these espresso caipirinhas.


Also, lots of fun, but inedible, merchandise, like this table of all-plastic food.


At Lemongrass, the spring rolls caught our photographer’s eye, and Dave mentioned they were a highlight of his visit as well.


At Taste of Dallas, even the ice cream was hot.

Dave visited Masaryk and found no shortage of “mod-Mex” inspired dishes. Our photo gallery from the restaurant included lots of the same shade of green, too.


Rathbun’s Blue Plate Kitchen found plenty of fried goods to inspire our photographer.
