It’s been a rough week for restaurants in downtown Fort Worth. On Monday, FW Market + Table, a West 7th district restaurant and grab-and-go spot specializing in “fresh and local foods,” announced via press release that it was closing, citing not enough foot traffic in the district.
“We tried two really fantastic concepts that the public really embraced,” owner Todd Fiscus said in a press release, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports. “But, unfortunately, like many of the other restaurants in the area, we just couldn’t make it without more regular customer activity.”
On Tuesday, another unexpected loss: Vivo 53, the pizza and pasta spot that was increasingly known for their over-the-top desserts, was closed, with a sign on the door saying the restaurant is “closed indefinitely.”
A publicist for the restaurant told the Star-Telegram that the restaurant “might be closed soon due to management issues we have been having” but a spokesperson for Vivo 53 confirmed via email that the closure isn’t temporary.

“We have closed our doors as of today,” she told the Observer. “It was a pleasure to work with you!”
Neither restaurant’s social media accounts mention the closures, though Vivo 53 just posted a link — less than 24 hours ago — to a story that mentions the restaurant.
“Tried to swing by for lunch and a sign on the door said ‘Closed Indefinitely,'” a diner commented on the post. “What a bummer!!!!”
