Pop Star popsicles. Noble Coyote coffee. Vim + Vigor juices. Texas beers in the fridge and local wines on tap. That’s just a few of the local choices you’ll encounter once Unleavened opens its family-friendly, whole-food-conscious doors on Tuesday. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, Unleavened Fresh Kitchen hopes to bring something new to Lakewood. And first-time restaurant owners Tom Dynan and Scott Piland have done a lot with what was formerly a bead store. They chose Mitchell Garman Architects, who worked recently on Rapscallion, to design the space. They’ve built a place for patio-style seating outside and intend for the restaurant to be a place for folks to stop off for coffee or breakfast on their way to work, grab a quick lunch, have an early dinner with kids, a leisurely dinner or Sunday brunch with friends. Breakfast prices range from $3 to $7.25, lunch options are available as wraps (made with local Luna’s Tortillas) or bowls, and range from $9.80 to $12.50. Sides are $3. Children’s menu options are available as well, ranging from $4.50 for breakfast to $5.75 for lunch.

Unleavened Fresh Kitchen opens Tuesday, September 22, at 7 a.m. at 1900 Abrams Parkway in the Lakewood Shopping Center.
