Michelle Carpenter, chef at Zen Sushi (380 W. Seventh St.) in Oak Cliff’s Bishop Arts District, celebrated her 40th birthday by offering a sake deal over the weekend. Unfortunately you missed it. We did, as well.
But while that one-weekend only deal may be over, it ushered in the debut of a Monday specials menu which includes $3 sake plus rolls slashed to about half of the menu’s normal price…which should put them in the $3 to $6.50 region. Now that’s the kind of party favor we can all appreciate.
