The Peak Inn

When Joe Morales opened this bar in November 2019, he called it his retirement bar, – the kind of place he wants to find a stool to call home later down the road. Many locals and regulars are already doing that. The bar food here is superior; you might not find a better late-night burger […]

The Rabbit Hole Bar and Grill

The Rabbit Hole Bar and Grill is newer place in Old East Dallas that fits the neighborhood like a good worn glove. The bar food is far above average and the outdoor courtyard had a dog run. It’s the best of all of us. Be sure to tried the hand cut and panko-crusted fried mozzarella […]

Rayo Bar & Lounge

Rayo is the final stop before walking into the State Fair, or the first stop after. We don’t offer that as a warning, rather an emergency lever in case you get dragged to the fairgrounds one day against your will; tell ’em you’ll meet ’em outside. Rayo is a great bar with stellar bar food. […]

Renfield’s Corner

This popular Uptown watering hole has made great efforts to set itself apart from its shinier neighbors, serving as the only Uptown bar to host sets from the area’s top bands. To be safe, Renfield’s has installed a sprawling beer garden away from all the noise, and even in the heat of the summer, the […]

River Pig Saloon

This restaurant originated in Oregon, where “River Pig” is an old term for guys whose job it was to guide timber down rivers to sawmills. The menu offers typical items that you would find at a gastropub, but also some unique grub like the Hell’s Canyon Drumsticks. Instead of drums and flats, you get five […]

The Rodeo Bar

This bar in the bottom of the historic Adolphus Hotel was recently refurbished and reopened. It sits just across the street from the buzzing AT&T Discovery District, which makes for great window watching. They serve smashed burgers, chili and the type of bar food that was more popular some 20 years ago. In some spaces […]

Rodeo Cold

East Dallas newcomer Rodeo Cold heralds a new generation of dive bars. The Western-themed spot glows on Ross Avenue, but if you miss it, just look for the cowboy-hat-wearing doorman posted on a barstool out front. Inside its red glow, the essentials are all covered: a pool table, bartenders who’ll soon enough know your usual […]

The Skellig

Located in the heart of Knox Henderson, The Skellig is a classic Irish pub with some Southern flare. Pop in for some beers on tap and stay for a European meat and cheese board. Or, catch the big game with some friends, and stay into the hours of the night. Throughout the week, The Skellig […]

Stan’s Blue Note

Sports, sports and more sports await you at Stan’s Blue Note. This little Lower Greenville dive bar is a great place to catch football, hockey, basketball and any other sporting event you can imagine. Watch the game on multiple screens from the comfort of multiple barstools or soft couches. Plus, games like table shuffleboard and […]

Sugar Factory

Sugar Factory is, in fact, a “family-friendly” spot. It’s a healthy mix of over-the-top bubbling boozy drinks with colossal burgers and ginormous milkshakes. There are kids dancing in front of the DJ stage alongside groups of adults enjoying a night out, some dressed to the nines, some more casually. There are 49 cocktails on the drink […]

Sylvan Avenue Tavern

This spot sits on the second floor above TEN Ramen at the Sylvan Thirty complex and is a sister-spot to Bryan Avenue Tavern. It’s a great spot to catch a game and have a cold drink but be sure to go hungry. Start with their West Dallas Deviled eggs built with a bacon jam base […]

Texas Live

Just outside Globe Life Field is a bevy of restaurants and bars, all housed under one roof called Texas Live! And if you’ve ever thought, “Sure wish I could watch the game somewhere fun tonight” this is your home. Before a Rangers game, it’s packed with families and sports fans scarfing down plates of nachos […]

Thomas Avenue Beverage Co.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, Eddie “Lucky” Campbell knows a thing or two about bars. The long-time Dallas barkeep, who also owns the Standard Pour on McKinney Avenue and Parliament, resurrected the Thomas Avenue Beverage Company a decade after the original one closed. Campbell has created a space that is smart and […]

Tiny Victories

This cozy cocktail den just west of the Bishop Arts District has a patio and happy hour that winks and says, “Well, hi there, neighbor.” Inside a small shrine to Bob Ross evolved randomly; a bartender just put something on one day, the next day a repeat customer asked why the famed happy little clouds […]

Trick Pony

Trick Pony is a side-hustle bar of Marlow MXM but has a completely different energy. While it can get rowdy on busy weekends, it often displays characteristics of a more mild-mannered middle child. While the interior design has a harsh industrial feel, the cocktails are anything but. As they like to say, this isn’t a […]

Truck Yard

Off the beaten path off Lowest Greenville is a favorite lunch and drink spot for Dallasites that really just wants the city to kick back and relax. The Truck Yard’s food menu is short: Philly cheesesteak, sandwich and/or nachos. But what more do you really need to eat at a bar with so much space […]

TX Tea Room

“TX TEA ROOM is a brand new bar, restaurant, and live music venue in Deep Ellum with a very familiar feel. Come by and enjoy cold drinks, darts, hot dogs, live music, pool tables, and the old Deep Ellum vibes that’s been missing from the neighborhood.
