Sali’s Pizza Restaurant
This is a dyed in the red-and-white checker oilcloth Italian restaurant, from the pizza dough spinning in the air to the tiramisu. The pasta portions are large, and some of the customer favorites include the fettuccini with shrimp and the cheese tortellini topped with authentic imported mozzarella di bufala. And who can forget the pizzas? At least one pie can be seen on each table. However, what the regulars rave about is the house salad dressing, a piquant tomato-based vinaigrette infused with oil and herbs that is then poured over iceberg lettuce, tomato and pepperoncini. The restaurant is small and packed with children, so if there aren’t enough seats consider ordering to-go and setting up a picnic at the nearby Dallas Arboretum.
