Taj Mahal | Northeast Dallas | Indian | Restaurant
A popular spot in North Dallas, this place deserves its fans. The food is good, the atmosphere is pleasant, and the service efficient and professional. For appetizers, the samosas are decent. The stuffing is good, but the outer crust could be a little less greasy. The soups are well-seasoned. Try the coconut tomato version. For the entrées, the undaring will order the chicken tikka and be perfectly satisfied. For variety, try the salmon tikka. The more adventurous in your crowd – and it's good to come with a group because you can share dishes – may want to try vegetarian specialties including an eggplant dish called bengan bhurtha. The lamb vindaloo is, as promised, hot, but it's not overpowering. The raita (cucumber salad in yogurt) is the best way to handle overheated senses.
