Remember just last month, when were were asking bands to submit demos to be part of Homegrown Fest? Remember when I proposed that instead of a musical battle, bands actually had to physically battle for favor? Oh, memories.
Well, we’ve narrowed Rock the Park down to the top eight, four of which will battle, via their music, this coming Saturday, April 21, at the Shops at Park Lane. The remaining four will perform on Saturday, April 28.
Congrats to DFW’s own Soviet, Immigrant Punk, Breakfast Machine, Dead Mockingbirds, Catamaran and Sophomore, Austin’s Madisons, and Houston’s Bang Bangz. Check the complete schedule below, and come out this weekend (and next) to support your favorites. After the sets, you’ll get one week to vote. The winner of a popular vote will then be chosen and announced May 7. Good luck!
